LendEDU Text-in Financial Aid Hotline









Students, do you need help with Financial Aid? 

LendEDU Financial Aid Hotline , is a free text-in service designed to quickly answer any question related to financial aid, grants, scholarships, and student loans. Simply text-in your financial aid questions to the hotline at (302) 278-4037 and you will receive a detailed response from our team within 15 minutes!
During non-business hours, students and families can receive detailed responses within 24 hours. The LendEDU Financial Aid Hotline is a free service paid for and managed by the LendEDU team.


Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards


The Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) is now accepting applications for the 2016 Youth Awards; educational grants are available for students who are part of the graduating class of 2017. For the 18th year, recipients will be selected for their accomplishments in the classroom, community, and for their focus in various educational categories. Once selected, the students will be celebrated at 10 regional ceremonies across the country and receive grants to continue their education or to fund an idea or project that will serve to impact their communities.


                     The APPLICATION DEADLINE is Sunday, October 2nd, 2016.

To be considered, student’s must:

* Be currently enrolled in high school, graduating in the spring/summer of 2017
* Planning to enroll in college in 2017-2018
* Identify as being of Hispanic/Latino descent
* Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or 7.5 (on a 10.0 scale)
* Must attend mandatory regional awards ceremony to receive award.
* U.S Permanent Resident/US Citizen/or qualify under the DACA.

Apply Texas Essay Prompt News

The Apply Texas Advisory Committee adopted a new set of essay prompts to be used with the Apply Texas Freshman applications for the 2017-18 academic year cycle that opens on August 1, 2016.  This change will affect applications for Summer 2017- Spring 2018.
A link to the prompts has been added to the application site, https://www.applytexas.org.  
The new prompts are as follows: 

Essay A:  What was the environment in which you were raised?  Describe your family, home, neighborhood, or community, and explain how it has shaped you as a person.

Essay B:  Some students have an identity, an interest, or a talent that defines them in an essential way.  If you are one of these students, then tell us about yourself.

Essay C:  You’ve got a ticket in your hand – Where will you go?  What will you do?  What will happen when you get there?
