1.       Distinguished Scholarship Invitational at Wichita State University
This is a very prestigious scholarship competition for up to $60,000 based off of leadership and academics and will be awarded to three high school seniors this year! Competition day: Saturday, November 18, 2017
Students must meet only ONE of the following criteria to be eligible to compete:
·         Have a minimum unweighted 3.5 GPA, or
·         Have a minimum ACT composite score of 27, or
·         Have a minimum SAT composite score of 1280, or
·         Rank in the top 10% of the student’s graduating class at the end of their junior year
Additional criteria for a student to compete: Must be a 2018 high school graduate, must submit their WSU application materials by October 15, 2017 and submit the scholarship competition application by November 1, 2017.

2.       Visit Shocker Nation at Wichita State Black and Yellow Day!
 
 

 
 
Dive into Shocker Nation during this day designed to help your students get a taste of college life. They will learn about the seven academic colleges, hear advice about their college search, speak with current WSU students, get a tour of campus, plus lunch and a Shocker t-shirt!

Space is limited and online registration is required. The cost to attend is $15 per student and $5 for each guest which covers lunch, program materials, and a Shocker t-shirt for the student.
